Filmmaker Rohit Shetty and Bollywood star Deepika Padukone are thankful to their fans for the love they have received for their movie ‘Chennai Express’. The movie was released in theaters 10 years ago today.
A popular romantic comedy movie stars Shah Rukh Khan. The story is about a guy named Rahul who goes to Rameshwaram in a train called Chennai Express to put his grandfather’s ashes in the water. But he gets into trouble when he helps a don’s daughter named Meenamma and her cousins get on the train.
Shetty said thank you for the support on Instagram. He posted the film’s poster and it was his first time working with Khan and Padukone. Shetty and Khan then collaborated on the movie “Dilwale” in 2015.
Deepika Padukone said that she is happy that people still love the character Meenamma.
Some people believe that comedy is the most challenging type of acting for an actor. I was given the opportunity to act in the movie ‘Chennai Express’ and I knew it would be a very difficult task for me. And even though it took me some time to find Meenama, which was a very lonely and scary process, I am thankful that we were able to create a character that is not only well-known in the movie, but also one that still gets a lot of love to this day,” the actor said in a statement.
‘Chennai Express’ came out in 2013 and was a very successful movie. The movie was made by Gauri Khan, Karim Morani, Ronnie Screwala, and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Yunus Sajawal wrote the screenplay. Can you please rewrite the text so that we can understand what you are referring to.
