Congress announces pre-poll alliance with Goa Forward Party

The Congress and the Goa Forward Party (GFP) on Saturday declared a pre-survey partnership for the impending state Assembly decisions due in February one year from now.

“Later (GFP boss) Vijai Sardesai met our chief Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and communicated his help to the Congress saying that he needs to work with us to overcome the mutual and degenerate BJP government in Goa and to achieve an adjustment of Goa, we invited his turn,” Rao said.

More communication occurred in Goa between the two gatherings, he said, adding, “We figured out whatever little issues were there among us and we are searching for a fresh start.”

“Whatever occurred before, has occurred. In governmental issues, there is consistently an extension for companionship, unions, and we have shared trust and trust in one another,” the Congress chief said.
