During Janmashtami, I have happy memories of colorful decorations, dancing traditional dances like the Raas Leela, and gathering with loved ones to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna.
I took part in dahi handi celebrations a few times. I was part of a group of people standing on top of each other in a pyramid shape. This year, I will go to the temple and take part in the celebration. I spend a lot of time on work. Because I don’t have much time, I usually do religious rituals at home. On special occasions, I visit the temple.

When I was a child and lived in Vrindavan, I have special memories of celebrating Janmasthami. We used to go to the temple called Hare Rama Hare Krishna there. The only time I took part in a dahi handi celebration was during a scene in my show. Ever since I had my baby girls, they have become the center of my world. We now celebrate all of our special occasions at home. We ask God for help and make delicious meals to enjoy with our loved ones. Yes, we visit the Krishna Ayappa temple in Andheri because my husband is from South India.

To be honest, I can’t remember the last time I took part in a dahi handi celebration. It probably happened when I was a kid. I believe that girls do not join in as often, but I think everyone should have the opportunity to participate. I like to go to the Hare Rama Hare Krishna temple. The temple looks really nice and fancy on the day when he was born. I will watch dahi handi again, but I am worried because the people climbing can sometimes get hurt and fall. This can be dangerous, and I wish there are precautions for our safety. If there is something happening in our society and I have no plans, I will definitely go and watch.
There is a lot of love everywhere.

I used to go to dahi handi celebrations and I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of innocence and love when bhajans were playing in the background. I was in school and I took part in an activity where I accidentally broke the handi. It felt really good to accomplish something. I really love those days.
